Welcome to the
Department of Translational Genomics
The Department of Translational Genomics at the University of Cologne is headed by Roman Thomas.
Our Lab Mission is to understand the impact of somatic genetic alterations in cancer cells on the highly complex regulatory network of signaling pathways.
To address these questions we take advantage of a wide range of genetic, molecular and genomic techniques as well as biostatistics and computational biology tools. Our group is composed of scientists with various background including biologists, clinicians and physicist to study functional, cell biology apsects of cancer genomics towards novel drug development.
This site will provide information about the ongoing research in the laboratory, a list of all our publications, available data sets and contact information.
Our Collaborative Research Center 1399 was recommended by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for funding for an initial period of four years. The SFB1399, headed by Prof. Roman Thomas and Prof. Christian Reinhardt, started its work in July 2019.
